By their design, it has the ability to almost entirely exclude the noise coming from the sides which is very important feature in interview situation.
In addition, Røde developed the microphone so that it is highly resistant to moisture and is almost completely insensitive to RF interference.
This makes it not only very resistant to handling noise, but also give it 50% lower self noise than common in shotgun microphones. In addition, it has high sensitivity and a superior sound quality.
