Description:

Beyerdynamic dynamic microphone M 88 was first introduced in the 1950's and became quickly a classic. In todays version, the diaphragm has been made lighter hence making it lightning fast.

The characteristic's is a hypercardioid, making it more or less impervious to feedback.
The M 88 TG works just as well with kick drums as vocals and has a soft characteristics and a good ability to reproduce the lower frequencies.
Thanks to the fast diaphragm with its integrated hum-backer coil, M 88 TG have the ability to reproduce the complex sound from the kick drum, including the tight "thump" which otherwise needs signal processing.

This in turn makes the Beyerdynamics M 88 TG often used in studios and on stage, all over the world and is very popular with sound engineers.
