DCA55 is the predecessor of DCA75. It can handle the most common semiconductors. DCA55 self identify which pins are connected to which leads of the tester.

With DCA55, you can make the following tests on these semiconductors:
* Transistors - Germanium and Silicon. Bipolar NPN/PNP, Darlington NPN/PNP, Digitala NPN/PNP, etc. Measures Hfe
* Diodes - Germanium and Silicon, Double diodes, LED, etc. Measures forward voltage
* J-FET - N- and P-channel.
* MOSFET - N- och P-kanal, incl. enhancement mode and depleted. With or without protection diode/resistor.
* Triacs - That require less than 5mA of gate current and holding current.
* Tyristorer - That require less than 5mA of gate current and holding current
* IGBT - No
* Linear Voltage Regulators - No
